Overview
The Historical Data settings allow you to supplement your live tracking data with order history from before the Reco pixel was installed. This is managed from the Settings page.

Enabling Historical Data
- Go to the Settings page
- Find the Historical Data section
- Toggle historical data on
When historical data is toggled on, it's blended with your live tracking data to produce richer recommendations. When toggled off, only live pixel data is used.
Importing Orders
- Make sure historical data is toggled on
- Click Import Orders
- Wait for the import to complete
The import pulls order data directly from your Shopify store — no file uploads needed.
How Blending Works
| Data Source | When It's Used |

| Historical data only | Pixel hasn't collected data yet but orders have been imported |
The blending is seamless — customers will never know whether a recommendation came from live data, historical data, or both.
Re-Importing Orders
Each import replaces the previous historical data set. This is useful when:
- You turned off the pixel temporarily and want to capture those orders
- You switched attribution modes and want the historical data re-processed
- You want a fresh import of your latest order history
Re-importing replaces all previously imported historical data. Your live tracking data from the pixel is never affected.
Interaction with Attribution Mode
Historical orders are processed using your current attribution mode setting:

If you change your attribution mode after importing, consider re-importing your orders so the historical data is processed consistently with your new mode.
